Really Fun Bookmark DIY Tutorial

I came up with this design a few years ago for a swap.  It took me ALL DAY to figure out the correct dimensions.  I wanted to be able to make two bookmarks from one piece of 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock.  It made my brain hurt trying to figure it all out, but I am happy with the results!

Here is a little monkey peeking out at you!!!

Bookmark Case:

*Cut a piece of cardstock 4-1/4” x 7-3/4”

*Draw a pencil line at 1-1/16” (use the outside left edge of the ruler on the paper cutter as a straight-edge guide)

*Score at 2”

*Draw a pencil line at 2-7/16” (once again, use the outside left edge of the ruler on the paper cutter as a straight-edge guide)

*Score at 4”

*Punch two 1-3/8” circles (the width of the punch apart) inside the pencil lines

*Fold on score lines/  *Adhere with sticky strip

Bookmark *Cut a piece of cardstock 1-7/8” x 8-1/2”  (or longer, depending on how long you want the inside piece to be)
